I made this because the information parents need is out there - it's just buried under noise, contradictions and advice that makes a hard thing feel harder.
I'm Sofie, an accredited nutritionist, certified sleep consultant, mum of four and founder of The Growing Years. I have been through the starting solids phase four times - four different babies, four different experiences, four rounds of the same anxiety that brings most parents to this page.
That combination matters. The nutritionist in my knows the evidence, understands allergen guidance, knows what the research actually says about textures and timing and iron and gagging.
