The Growing Years was created to support families through one of the most influential and demanding stages of childhood — the early years.
These years shape sleep patterns, feeding relationships, emotional development and family wellbeing. Yet many parents are left navigating conflicting advice, developmental changes and daily exhaustion without clear, practical guidance.
The Growing Years provides integrated sleep and nutrition support for children aged 0–7 years, helping families feel confident, supported and less overwhelmed as their children grow.
Sleep and nutrition are deeply connected.
When children receive developmentally appropriate sleep support alongside practical, evidence-based nutrition, families often experience improvements not only in routines, but in overall wellbeing.
The Growing Years supports families by integrating developmentally appropriate sleep routines with practical nutrition strategies. This approach recognises that children thrive when both areas work together — and that families benefit from clear guidance, structured support and flexible strategies tailored to their individual needs.
Support is always designed around each child’s developmental stage and each family’s unique circumstances.
The Growing Years works with families from newborn through early childhood, supporting children aged 0–7 years.
This includes:
Establishing newborn sleep foundations
Supporting babies through routine development and starting solids
Navigating toddler sleep changes and feeding challenges
Supporting preschool and early school-aged children
Helping families welcoming additional children feel more confident the second/third/fourth time around

Sofie was first drawn to nutrition through a fascination with how powerful food can be in shaping health and wellbeing. She believes that with the right knowledge and support, nutrition can be one of the most accessible and effective tools for long-term health.
Her passion for sleep consulting came later — through her own experience as a parent.
After welcoming her first child, Sofie worked with a sleep consultant and experienced firsthand how transformative healthy sleep can be. Not only for a child’s development and mood, but for the wellbeing of the entire family.
Now as a mother of four children, including twins, Sofie has experienced the realities of early family life from many different perspectives. Through raising her children, she has seen how deeply connected sleep and nutrition are — and how strong foundations in both areas can significantly reduce stress and improve family wellbeing.
Sofie holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine, providing a strong clinical foundation in paediatric nutrition, growth and development.
She is a Certified Sleep Consultant, trained to support evidence-based, age-appropriate sleep strategies from infancy through early childhood.
Sofie is also a mum of four, bringing lived experience alongside professional expertise — because real-life parenting matters as much as theory.
Her work combines clinical knowledge, practical application and compassionate support to help families feel calm, confident and in control.

Before becoming a parent, Sofie worked in a medical clinic supporting patients with complex health conditions as a patient advocate. This experience shaped her understanding of the importance of listening, empathy and personalised care — values that continue to guide her work today.
Sofie’s approach is built on the belief that advice should be practical, realistic and tailored to each individual family. Parenting advice can often feel overwhelming and contradictory, particularly when it comes to sleep and feeding. Sofie works closely with families to create clear, achievable strategies that align with their child’s developmental needs and their family’s lifestyle.
She is especially passionate about supporting families with:
Establishing healthy sleep foundations
Starting solids and early feeding confidence
Creating accessible, realistic family nutrition habits
Support fussy eating
Helping families transition into preschool and school routines
Supporting new parents navigating the early stages of parenthood
Having navigated life as a parent of one child, then two under two, and later twins, Sofie understands that every child — and every family — is different.
She has experienced firsthand how sleep challenges and feeding difficulties can impact children’s wellbeing as well as the physical and emotional health of parents. These experiences strongly shape her commitment to supporting the whole family, not just the child.
Sofie believes that strong early foundations in sleep and nutrition not only improve daily life but also support long-term health and resilience for children as they grow.

Sofie believes children thrive when sleep, nutrition and development are supported together — and that families feel more confident when guidance is clear, flexible and achievable.
She loves helping families realise that meaningful change doesn’t need to be complicated, and that small, thoughtful adjustments can have a powerful impact on daily life.
Through The Growing Years, Sofie hopes to empower families to feel confident in their parenting decisions, reduce overwhelm, and create routines that support healthy, happy family life.
