The Growing Years was created because the early years are too important and too overwhelming to navigate without proper support. Sleep, nutrition and development aren't separate problems. They're connected, and that's exactly how I work.

I became a nutritionist because I saw how profoundly food shapes health from the very beginning. With the right knowledge and support, nutrition is one of the most accessible and powerful tools for long-term wellbeing — and I wanted to help families actually use it.
Sleep consulting came later, and honestly, it came from my own experience as a new mum. After my first baby, I worked with a sleep consultant and it changed everything for our family. Not just the sleep but the mood, the energy, the way we all functioned day to day. I saw firsthand what a difference it makes when a family finally gets some rest.
Since then, I've had three more children (including twins) and each stage has added a new layer to how I work. I've navigated one baby, then two under two, then the beautiful chaos of twins alongside older kids. I know what it's like to be exhausted and second-guessing yourself at 2am. I also know what it looks like when things start to click into place.
That lived experience sits alongside my clinical training in everything I do. Because understanding the science is one thing but knowing how it actually plays out in real family life is what makes the difference.
The Growing Years works with families from newborn through early childhood, supporting children aged 0–7 years.
This includes:
Establishing newborn sleep foundations
Supporting babies through routine development and starting solids
Navigating toddler sleep changes and feeding challenges
Supporting preschool and early school-aged children
Helping families welcome a second, third or fourth child
I hold a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine, which gave me a strong clinical foundation in paediatric nutrition, growth and development. I'm also a registered nutritionist with ANTA and a Certified Sleep Consultant, trained in evidence-based, age-appropriate sleep strategies from infancy through early childhood.
Before starting The Growing Years, I worked in a medical clinic as a patient advocate, supporting people navigating complex health conditions. That experience shaped something that no degree can teach, how to really listen and how to make guidance feel achievable rather than overwhelming.
I bring all of that into every consultation and every resource I create. Clinical knowledge, practical experience, and the perspective of someone who has actually lived the early years...four times over.

The Growing Years exists because I couldn't find one place that looked at sleep, nutrition and development together. I built what I wished had existed when I was in the thick of it — practical, evidence-based, and written by someone who genuinely gets it.
